The whole Experience at Yepoon is just that . . . an experiemce with a professional light , sight & sound show that is very professional!

The last show in late March was really special with a tribute film about the relationship between PB & PC . . . and being as live as it was, it was close on emotional . . . and on top of that I was given the task of making the closing speech . . . which was tough. . . but an absolute honor that I will never forget

I plan to catch up with PC later this year to see what can be done about the display
Good write up Graeme.... P.C. would be happy.

I saw that one a couple of weeks ago with a bit of damage to it's nose. It is one of many private imports floating around the country that have had commodore nose panels added to it.

So it's not an 8 then?

The biggest engine available in the Opel Monza was a 3L injected 6 cylinder. PB fitted a V8 to the example he brought into the country and quite a few people have copied this over the years.

Good pics and write up mate. I was there on the last day too but for the last daytime tour. It's a real shame that it isn't open any more. If you were there early enough to see a yellow cv8z monaro parked near the entrace that was mine. A good mate of mine helped set the place up. Massive Brock fan. He even turned a vk into a replica Brock race car. Decals and all. Helps being a sign writer! He did all the signage outside etc. He also built all the 1:24th scale models in the display cabinets. No small feat considering nobody makes kits for those cars and he scratch built them all.

There are plenty of locals that didn't go for a look while it was open due to the asking price for a tour. The day I went it was $44 which for a Holden/Brock fan like myself is ok but I think maybe for somebody that's not a massive fan but would like to have a look might be asking a bit much. That was the reason most people I have spoken to didn't go for a look. It was a great display and very well done. Hopefully they all get to be on show again somewhere in the near future.

I have pics of everything too if there is something that somebody wants to see more of.

Hi guys, that was an absolute blast and covered very well.
I heard it was closing and made time to get up and see it, i was in the arvo group 2nd last tour.
Will never forget the emotion from PC and the Brock family. (We talked to them on the plane up!)
I will be a shame to break up any part of this display, if it is moved it should be in it's entirety.
The Qld tourism voted it the best attraction for many years but did little to promote it.
i've only just found this thread, i guess that's the positive to such a large site, you never get bored reading things!
    cheers
