    Future HSV Collectables ???

This is a thread that was on Street Commodores originally. I put a list together of what I think mayby the next HSV collectables. Here are some of the rarer models in my opinion through out the HSV range. Not saying they will all be big dollar collectable in the future but they are definitly the rarer cars offered. Just my opinion of what maybe collectable, but only time will tell. Also any number 1's and prototype cars. HSV cars the cars fitted with the left over Black motors out of the VN Group A will be sort after. ( VP GTS, VP Clubsport 5000i's ).
Would be interested to see what others think ??

Checked your list twice and I think you forgot E3 Senator-Phantom colour........

That is an impressive list ..... imagine all these in your garage.

I'll have a punt and say of all these - VS GTSR and most Anniversary editions

Mate, all of them are 'already' collectable with their rareness...I reckon decent VR/VS Clubbies (unmolested) and obviously GTS in same models will be next to start appreciating a bit...then VT GTS,VX GTS all the 2 door GTO/GTS cars in coming years will go up too.
I think other than the true collectors models that you mention, these other models will become popular to follow.
I remeber a few years ago you could get SLR Toranas and HQ/HJ GTS 4 doors for dirt cheap like $4,000 they are all in the $20,000 range now, same too with VH SL/E's (not quite as dear yet) all of these will get a boost in the future its just a matter of time!

Back to one HSV in the shed... But its a Gen F GTS so I arent complaining!!

    VZ HSVDT Clubsport
    VZ HRT Clubsport

Please don't forget WK Granges (wishful thinking).
Any car that is still the owners pride and joy is a collectable and worth far more than it could be sold for.

I'm getting a vibe here that you might like VZ series HSV.

I agree, will add them to the list. I didnt post this thread to cause arguments and to be bias to owners. Just more a prediction for the future. I always read old Unique Cars mags and think what will be the next sought after Holden / HSV ?

As in one of the other posts, cars are collectable to us all for different reasons. My favorite personally is the VN Group A, ( not looking for a debate is it a HSV or a GMH contract build ). but I remember in 1990 seeing one on the showroom floor as a kid and saying I want one. The new cars are nice but the VN Group A will always be # 1 to me. I dont have one yet, but one day hopefully. I know theres no right and wrong, just interested in others opinions. End of the day, we will not all agree but its good to hear why owners class there cars as collectable and what a collectable model is to them. So feel free to post why you feel your HSV is collectable, and keep the thread positive please.

I think the VT Senator Signature 10th Anniversary will one of the most collectable from the list. Pretty dam rare and last of the Aussie V8's.

    Smile

Who knows what will happen in the future....but I don't think many cars on that list are very special at all....sure, some of them are "desirable", but I don't think most of them will reach any sort of "collectable" stature any more so than say a nice 5L HZ Premier, or a VB SLE 310 Pack.....nice cars, but nothing REALLY special about them.
So, from that list I predict the following will achieve a "collectable" status:
VN Group A...in strictly homologation form...no leather, no sunroof, no cruise.
    Walkinshaw VL Group A
    Coupe 4
    W427
I mean a "VN SS enhanced 110 pack".....ya gotta be jokn'
    Cheers, Pickles.

I feel that the VN SS enhanced pack is a rare and collectable car. The VN SS is much like the VL turbo it has a strong following. Check out some of the forums. Not everyone has a budget that is never ending. Everytime one comes up for sale, it moves quick. I think they represent good value in the market today. Would be my pick out of all the VN SV packs. Thats your opinion and thanks for sharing it, but I disagree.
