    E1 Alternator Warning Light

Alternator Warning Light has come up on the dash. Battery pod gauge reads about 14.5v. Would alternator be 100% the issue? or could it be something else causing the warning?

When my car did that, the alternator was changed, and everything was fine after that.

may have had a spike if u can check the code it will show if its over or under voltage as they only give warning if it out of its set parameter, ive had a mates do it once and never again so see if its still there over night or not

Got the RACQ out, alternator is still charging but not at full capacity. Battery had 631 cranking amps.
    Getting it re conditioned.

Possibly a problem with the voltage regulator located within the alternator. Unfortunately, it's not externally replaceable, like older model alternators, so getting it reconditioned (or getting a changeover unit) is your best option as you have already discovered.
