Michelin PS4S. They are the first tyre that allowed me to beat my times at the local hill climb (SDMA - Canberra) with the Conti 5Ps.
That journey included some Conti Force Contact, Nitto NT05s (a full second slower) and Pilot Super Sports.

That track is a fun little track, particularly turn 1 where breaking too late wrecks that turn and the next one, and
breaking early just makes you slow .
I particularly love the way you can modulate your line with the throttle in that last corner that goes forever.

I credit the Hawaiian shirt and the relaxed 80s music.

Yep loved the shirt. So what time gain did you get on that track with the ps4s over the stock Contis, just curious.

I only got to run the Contis at the Logic Center on my first year at HSV Fest 2015, I don't remember the times, but the finish line was further down that straight, it was a heavy brake to make the corner so the track was a different length. So the times below are at the Canberra (SDMA) hill climb track.

I managed a best of 48.16 on the Contis. However I found that when I did longer track days at Wakefield and Marulan (a very tight track for our big cars) that with the 5 to 10 minute sessions I was tearing out w**** tread blocks from the tyre. That is what lead me to try other tyres.

The Conti Force Contact were about .5 second slower and lost tread blocks just a easily.

Then the NT05, with a much larger tread block, solved that issue, but were about a second slower than the Contis.

The Pilot Super Sports started seeing mid 48s times reliably.

Since about August last year I ended up with PS4S front and rear, and now reliably get mid to high 47s, with a best of 47.46, though that is also
with 3 years more experience. So how much is the tyres and how much is me is hard to separate. - If someone in Canberra would like to lend me their Conti shod wheels for a Hill Climb I would love to do that test.

I have not had tread blocks tearing out at Marulan, but they have also re-surfaced that track and it is much smoother now, with nice banking,
so again not a real comparison.
