I think the VK Group A for $165k was a decent buy.

I know this is a bit off topic but gosford car museum has gone into liquidation and they are going to be selling of all their cars through pickles auction with no reserves.

When i was their last they had a fair few early Holdens and hsv's, someone might of able to grab a bargain if in the market.

I love how the ATO can put a business like this in the situation it's in. But there people out there that are habitual offenders that ripp the ato off every three year religiously.

While it's a great shame that the museum is shutting up, it sounds like the owners had set up an unusual company structure to avoid paying LCT and GST that the ATO didn't agree with. Is that the ATO's fault, or the owners?

I've been to the Gosford Museum and it was worth the look for sure .... however it was blatantly obvious that it was one giant used car operation that specialised in U.K. RHD Cl***ics .... with a fair sprinkling of other cl***ics .... essentially the indoor section was all the well presented stuff and then the old garden centre was full over "for sale" cl***ics and others ... by the way it was an old Bunnings site .... there is a bit more to play out yet I think ....

Aaah, so it was more of cl***ic car yard than a museum. By calling it a museum, the owners could get prospective customers to pay to look at the cars. Maybe that's a model for all car yards, not.
