    VF MALOO Drag Radials sizes?

Just want some input on drag radial tyre size for VF Maloo.
We are going to hit the strip in 1.5 weeks and need to get some ordered tomorrow. I have been looking on here for info but it's mostly sedan based when it come to tyre sizes which can and cannot fit. We are just going to fit to standard wheels.

    I'm looking at:

    MT 285/30R20
    MT 275/35R20

Car has made 610rwhp on dyno.

Based on the maths both of those tires should fit...however mickeys website lists the 275 as a 29" tire even though based on the maths it isn't.

I'd suggest measuring the physical tire before buying it.

The 285 is a smaller tire height so it will fit without any issues, however it wont have as much side wall.

After all of this on the 20" rims you may still struggle for traction if the car is making the power you claim as there simply isnt enough side wall.

This is why most people buy the Koya 18x10 rims as they fit over the factory brakes and then you get more side wall.
Even on them once you reach X-HP they will no longer work for you either.

I used a 275/40 R20 on my E3 GTS for a while. They fit with a little bit of rubbing on the inner guard on launch. Agree with GENF and suggest if you are going to do this often switch to an 18Ē tyre.

First time I’ve ever driven the car and got only 2 passes in.

    11.63 @ 122mph
    11.55 @ 119mph

    Hasn’t got 610rwhp.

I’m not used to all the electronic stuff! I tried stalling it up a bit but it didn’t like it. What do most people do? Just stand on it?

At least youíre not in Dyno Disney Land and in denial about the power it makes.

The way you launch the car does depend on the power output and more specifically how much power it makes down low.
Low HP cars are usually fastest if you leave from idle, higher HP cars are usually quicker when you stall it up to the point that the converter locks up around 1400rpm and then from there try and dial your launch RPM down 100rpm at a time until it becomes an issue and the 60ft is slower.

Car setup is simple, hold the traction button down for 5sec, smoke the tires and if auto leave it in sports mode.

For me it’s seem doughie off the line, like a hesitation. Gearbox shift seemed slow too. It annoys me when a shop give you dyno print out and take it to the track and it’s not even close.
