    looking at putting a trans oil cooler any recommendations

    I had a Walkinshaw Performance trans cooler fitted to my old VE SSV from new as I had a big trailer boat at the time. I'm not sure what type it was but it seemed to do the job. The only reason I went with WP was because I felt with a brand new car I needed to be careful about the warranty side of things, so I had the dealer supply and fit it

    Would you fit a thermostat to control the fan so the gearbox is at operational temp before the fan will switch on

    Yes.
    That one I linked doesn't state it but the smaller cooler below includes a 180F thermostat so it may be worth checking if there's one included already

    next kit up for $250 has the thermo
    yep that's the one
