Smitty, I know that with your job etc, you get to see some Holden stuff before we do, if we ever do!
So, did you ever hear the Red Bull TTV6?...I didn't of course, except I think a small "publicity" clip on TV. However Roland Dane & even Lowndes said the "sound" was pretty good, the fans would be happy etc,.... they'd obviously been working on, "tuned" etc, the sound, so I wonder if you'd heard it.
I know what you mean about the sound of Turbo 6's though, as the saying goes, "There's Nothing Like a V8"!
    Regards, Martin.

    Martin... yes
I have heard it.. and several times, each time it was so underwhelming
I could not believe what these guys were saying.

My Vk club car I run in sprints, even with a muffler on for Sandown
sounds meaner than the Red Bull car and its LOUDER, even
sounds like this REAL race car (which the Red Bull does not )

Thanks for that, there's nothing like a strong V8 working hard, IMHO!

All the cars look the same.
All the cars have the transaxles which none of the street versions have anyway.
    Aero has to be similar.
Engine power has to be similar.
Stuff it just make Touring Car Masters the main game with longer races.
    Sideways action and chrome bumpers.
    Yeah.
In twenty years time we will be watching AWD electric cars.
    Wow that will be fun!

They did run the V6TT in the Sandman at Bathurst last year for demo laps.
Certainly not as good as the V8 - as summerised already.

I think it comes down to the ZB moving off our showrooms (in a few years) thanks to the Peugot buyout, meaning there's no point in developing a relevant engine when in two years it'll be irrelevant again.

there is a certain sense in that.. anyone for Camaro panels on a space frame V8 powered (like ZB) of course
    versus
Mustang panels on a space frame (like the Falcon) .. v8 powered
