Agree, 4WD's don't cut it for me as I try to avoid them as they take over the world.

That's a lot of car for the money if they are in great condition. Holden has heaps of the SCV6, at 171kw they were okay remembering the weight was closer to 1500kg. The Monaro had a 180kw version, why HSV would have used the same engine
I can only guess the statesman was used as the car they turned into a Grange, as the stato and S both went stock scv6 during the VX1. I paid a massive $1000 extra, even the exhaust was worth that much. 1 grand for a blower option, their were even a few Executive sedans sold, the full non V8 range had the blower option, the best bang for buck ever. I jumped at a black sc berlina, a hard car to sell second hand to a Hobart owner.

The Super6 used to go ok for what it was/is. Like anything with boost, they can come alive pretty easily with a few mods in the right places. That said, I'd take the equivalent V8 any day of the week

Bugger you are correct, I must have been looking at the XU6 by HSV, around 2001 on, at Watsons Holden
I know they did HSV also.
I had a quick look on carsales, their are some very nice Monaro's under 20k

XU6 was from 1998. The original body kit was the same as the Manta but the 180i output was unchanged right through to the end (VX11)

I actually had info on the Supercharged WH Grange i just didn't bother to look. Was basically the same car to the V8 version but without the extra cylinders.
L67 was only available in Series 1, released in June 99. Series 2 was released with VX11 in 2001 but the 6 was dropped.
    Series 1 L67 RRP $75800 - 6 built
    Series 1 LS1 RRP $78700 - 548 built
    Series 2 LS1 RRP $84500 - 150 built

So the WH series 1 V8 has both a 250kw and 255kw engine because it ran from VT2 to VX.
WH2 was unchanged from the last WH with only a few VX2 upgrades. Not worth the extra 6 grand at the time
