    Haha this! I built a $35k Lycoming o-360 that blew up on the test bed. Turned out to be due to a failed con-rod stretch bolt that let go. Still not a fun week at work that one. haha

    Had a Garrett GTCP85-98D APU exducer wheel let go under full load in the test cell once.
    That was spectacular!

    was... a 308 from a VK (only out 20 too)

    my thinking (and my engine guy is) .. bore wall cracking
    leaked some coolant, hydraulic and goodbye engine.

    It has happened to me before... also at PI
    but last time, engine was turned of after a sprint
    went to turn it over for next event and it wouldn't!
    The bore was full of water from this....



    at least last time it was not at full noise at Siberia
