Any VQ 5000i owners here? looking for some info

Hi, I'm new to the forum and own a VQII 5000i Caprice.
I'm looking for some info on these cars, anyone know what the factory 17" wheel looked like on a 5000i caprice?
I have been trying to contact hsv in melb but no luck.
Also any ideas on how many Caprices were made in the 5000i? they seem to be rare.
    TIA

    Welcome.

The Series 2 would have ran the same 5 spoke that most of the VP range ran at the time. More famous for being on the VR Clubsport.

Not sure you'll find many owners around, you've got a pretty rare car there

I thought the Series 1 got the 16" Family wheel and Series 2 were like below (although that's an SV93)

A mate of mine had the VQII Caprice and his were the same as the one I posted above. But they could've been swapped before he bought it. The 17" rims in the pic of the sv93 were very popular. I had a set on my VK. Bloody expensive back then too.

I thought that may be the wheel, same as vp gts.
Will try to hunt a set down.
I currently have a set of sv5000 wheels on it which are similar to the one’s in the first pic but have a different cap.
The sv5000 wheel was what was in the boot as a spare when i bought it, the car had aftermarket 18s on it.

The Family (SV5000) wheel is the right spare for the time, they all ran with a yellow one of those

VQ11 had the 16" family wheel standard (16x eight) and 17" 5 spoke as an option. Yours look like 16x7
Is it actually a 5000i or an enhanced model?

these wheels arnt the original wheels, they are the same as the spare but the tyre placard only lists the 17" option. I bought these wheels because I hated the 18's that were on it.
its a 5000i by the hsv tag and it authenticated when I put the vin in on the hsv website.
I found the build sheet under the carpet and it says 5000i caprice

    Nice.
OK, if it was optioned with 17" wheels it had the same as the VP GTS etc. HSV didn't have any other 17 at the time
