    Pedders Sportsryder confusion

    Hi team,
looking for a little direction here please. Recently i emailed Pedders about buying there MRC compliant lowering springs, the Sportsryders.
I gave them the measurements of 65cm from top of guard to the bottom of the mag rim.

Attached is a picture i took of the car yesterday.

According to Pedders "Ask an expert" my car is already lowered.....say what?

    What do you guys think?

    Heres his reply:

    Hi Steve,

Being a HSV modified vehicle for one.
The standard ride height for a VE with 20" wheels would roughly be 688mm at the front and much the same at the rear.

    Regards

So the bit i don't get is that Pedders advertise that they offer an MRC compliant lowering spring from and rear (drop of 10mm advertised) yet this guy is telling me that HSV's are already lowered. So if the HSV's are lowered why advertise a lowering spring that is specifiaclly for the HSV GTS?
    Doesn't make sense....

Mine looks exactly the same. Why do they advertise a lowering spring especially for MRC equiped HSV's then say the HSV's are already lowered?

Whats the part numbers of the springs?
When you look them up online, the fronts are the same 2954 springs for any other VE, is this right?
The rears they list a different, MRC specific spring but why not the front?

But I thought they only drop it maybe 10mm anyway? Eibachs are similar, 10-15mm

Fronts are listed as 2954 and rears 2961

Your car should measure 385mm centre of hub to the guard front and rear if itís standard, which is 15mm lower than non MRC HSVs. There are springs available for MRC that lower the car another 10-15mm

So if pedders don't want my money what are my other options for a small (10 to 15mm) drop?

    Eibach?

Cheaper thru Eibach direct but they don't seem to list the MRC compatible ones. Maybe speak to them and see what the difference is?
