Hahaha, nice. At least the Michelins have a reputation for longevity. I'm not sure if it applies to these particular tyres, but Michelin offered a mileage guarantee, i.e guaranteed to last xx xxx kilometres. Not sure on the figure though.

Actually my Contiís still have around 4-5mm left, but theyíve gone off and the car feels dangerously loose, so Iím replacing them

Iíve had Michelin Pilot Sports in the past, different model, but they lasted very well and still gripped well even when they were almost bald. I put PS4 (not 4S) on my wifeís car a couple of months ago, too early to tell much, but all good so far

Was looking at tyre options and came across Hankook Ventus V2 for a good price, was wondering if anyone has them on their VF and what's the feedback in terms of handling and longevity ?
I've had some hankooks on a wrx in the past and changing over from a KU31, they were actually quite decent in terms of road noise and tread life.

I'm running the pirelli trofeo r tyres on my gen f gts, 265/35-295/35 and imho they're the best tyre I've ever driven on...bug coin but miles ahead of anything else...

HSV.286 - what car are you running them on mate?

The trofeo R's are an AMAZING tyre.. only 'problem' is they run different sizes (overall rolling diameter) to the standard Gen F.

The fronts are larger than ours and the rear is actually smaller due to the 30 profile.. I would like to contact hsv and see if they made any changes to the car to accommodate this (apart from the placard).

The rears are right on the legal limit of 15mm change in rolling diameter for most states so you wouldn't even need to change the placard. The fronts are well within legal spec.
They fit in the gaurds and on the rims no problem so there isn't really any chance necessary
