    Oils

Changing all fluids in the Clubsport i just bought.

Has anyone used Nulon 5w30 in their LS3 before? I've always used Nulon oil in all my cars and my old LS1 ran great on the Nulon. It's had Mobil 1 in it for it's whole life but for what it is it's terribly expensive when other oils are comparable. I can get Nulon for $35 from Costco for 5L and cheapest i can get Mobil 1 for is $89 for 5L. For what it's worth I just enjoy my cars and barely ever press the go pedal aggressively, so they never work hard.

For the T56 i've read to use Dex3 as Transmax Z now has a new formula that the T56 doesn't like.

What oil for the diff do you guys use?

i was on the nulon 10-60 now im on the 10-40, first time i swapped from the mobil1 to nulon i noticed the oil temp lower and took longer to get to temp so it has way better heat control

Nulon also have 50% off oil analysis at the moment to coincide with their new
    range of race oils..
For street I dont really think it matters all that much - stick with a reputable
    brand & you'll be good.
For track however, you want an oil that remains stable at high temps, but
    also reaches temp quickly.
You want normal operating temp coolant to coincide with at least 100 - 110 'c oil temp.

Costco sell Mobil 1 5w30 5L for $49.97 and $39.97 when on special, same type you get at Supercheap/Repco/Autobarn for $90. Not sure if they stock Mobil 1 5w30 EP but the other three don't stock that either.

I have been using Mobil 1 on a stock motor since new and can't fault it.

Would the 5w30 be a fine viscosity for a cold climate? most mornings in winter it will be below zero driving to work. Will got with Nulon, can get the Mobil 1 for $75 for 5L but i don't think it's worth the extra for the way i use the car and Nulon is still a great oil.

What oil are you guys using in the diff?

Nulon oils have no great rep in the auto trade down here... too many reports of rattly engines for my liking

    but
for the gearbox, go the Penrite Pro_gear stuff (mine is running it and I ran it in all my Tremec equipped cars from VX)
much better than any version of auto trans fluid

that's really interesting - up here the majority all use Nulon with no known problems.
