Vz stereo sound improvement keeping stock head unit?
As above how can i improve sound quality, the stock setup the equalizer settings are terrible, unable to get much clarity or balance
Is it the speakers? An amp with high pass input required??
I dont want to remove stock head unit as i want the vehicle to appear stock
Thanks

get a half decent head unit and speakers to start with.amps are optional but if u want bass you'll need at last one for the sub woofer. not a hard job to do as u can get plug and play wiring harnesses to suit. budget is ur guide to quality really

Anyway around it without changing head unit?
My rental corolla im in at the moment has a better stereo lol

Hey craze, leave it stock, never turn it on and listen to the sweet sound of your LS2.
I reckon over the five years I had my VZ Clubby, I turned the stereo on half a dozen times

Vz stereo sound improvement keeping stock head unit?
Hey dgp, im the bloke who drove up with wife and daughter and almost bought your beautiful yellow vz.
It was the most immaculate ive seen and mine a close 2nd.
Certainly played on my mind not having yours lol
Might have to turn off the stereo, it does rumble nice
I really dont want to modify anything on it but my mind wanders
Take a peek at my thread and ive posted pics of my vz r8

Ah cool, im glad you found another nice example to park in the shed.
I did see your pics, it looks to be in very good condition. Well done.

Thanks very happy
Ive got fond memories of vz as my mate had a clubby when we were quite young
For fun factor im still quite suprised how good it is stock
I even drive a 7l vx gts but that was a bit silly, a fellow forum member traded it for a vf gts
Ah well radio off and revs up

Changing just speakers won't achieve anything , putting an amp on standard speakers will work , for a while ... Ideally you need to change the speakers and put an amp on them , you can retain the factory deck yes , it will compromise a decent sound over an aftermarket but neglibale difference for what you want to achieve.
