    2014 GTS or 2016 R8 LSA

    Hi guys,

Just wondering what you would do if you had a choice between a 2016 R8 LSA or a 2014 GTS?

I really like the cosmetic changes to the gen-f2 but the street cred of the GTS name carries a lot of weight.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers

    I'd take the GTS personally.
Torque vectoring, MRC, Edi, better cred and resale

Been looking at the same thing, like the series one interior, but the series 2 exterior updates

I went the GTS option. Had a look at a R8S2 was nice. but a GTS with its bigger brakes, MRC suspension, and only 15.000 kms. The GTS won out. and less money.

I had to make the same decision ... I went for the Clubsport .. Nothing beats the new car feeling ..

Bigger brakes : I just done a SMSP track day, brakes were perfect and more than sufficient , did not fade at all.

MRC : had it in my senator, it did nothing for me

Torque vectoring : don't use it

    Edi : $1800 option

    My choice is the r8

    I went for a low kms F1 GTS over a new F2 R8 because...

    a) I much prefer the cleaner look of the F1

    b) I wanted to own the big dog HSV GTS before they stopped making them

    Re comments above...

Bigger brakes - agree the R8 are big enough for 99.99% of us

MRC - agree, I would have preferred normal shocks so my lowering options weren't so limited (and crappy)

Torque Vectoring - I believe TV is worthwhile, even on the streets when pushing a bit harder than normal

EDI - I wouldn't waste my money, never use it in my GTS

If the price is the same I would get the new Clubby over a used GTS, peace of mind of having a brand new car with full warranty that hasn't been thrashed.

Its all personal mate, and both amazing cars either way.. I was faced with this decision a couple months back and ended up going for a brand spanker Gen F2 clubsport.

I've always had new cars and its just peace of mind I guess..

    Goodluck either way!
