The 340kw SV headers have 2.5” outlet from the cats and are better than the older 2.25” version which I have, having said that 4-1 headers will sound much better than Tri-y’s and give you a better note. I only chose not to get the full exhaust/OTR and tune because the cops in my area deal with a lot of modified cars and defects are quite common so I kept my stock cat-back and if I do get a defect now it will only be for too much noise and an easy fix.

My advice would be to get the cat-back for now as I reckon it’s a massive improvement in sound over the stock system and you could always get the full exhaust and tune later on if you want a better note.
Thanks for your reply. I tried the fuse removal but not happy with that.

Have opted for a Walkinshaw Cat Back system with bimodal. Ill let you know once done

[QUOTE=NZ EVLHSV;175809]Same as me, but I'm going to leave it until my warranty runs out as it's only another 6 months. Go get an intake and tune done. I'm pretty sure Harrop, Walkinshaw, KPM all sell a driveline warranty that covers you in case HSV won't. Intake makes a decent improvement to the sound of an LS3 when on throttle

Thanks for your comments. As the ca=r is only 2 months old I'm a bit apprehensive for cut and shut and programming mods.
I Like to keep things simple.

Have decided for Walkinshaw Cat Back with Bimodal. Ill keep you posted

Option 3 is pretty much the same but you're paying for the warranty....which with just an exhaust, intake and tune, you shouldn't have any dramas with the factory warranty anyway.

Have you priced up any of the Harrop stuff? May come in slightly cheaper than Walky
    Hi.

    Thanks for your response.

Talking to Morpowa in Adelaide has given me some confidence.

Have opted for the Walkinshaw Cat Back. 3 inch to 2.5 inch rears with bi modal.

I can build up from there.

Ill let you know the outcome.

The old saying. When is enough , enough. Too many restrictions on the road.

Cars done 3000kms. I gave it a squeeze this morning and WOW , 170.= Loss of licence ( if caught )

Well today i took the plunge.

    Morpowa in Adelaide.

Kept the original Headers ( Gen F2 )

Walkinshaw cat back exhaust ( retained the electric Bi Modal )

    Walkinshaw OTR

    Custom Tune.

Max 286.2 KW at Rear wheels. I guess around 40-50KW from standard.

The sound is bloody awesome. Now it sounds like a HSV V8.

    Power is excellent.

    Recommend.

Glad you're happy with the result. Nothing worse than coming away unhappy with the final product

Gerry, why do you have three threads going on the same topic?

The 3" difillipo would sound even better , deeper than the walkinshaw version which is difillipo.

Oops. New to Forum. Do you know how to delete the others. Not the easiest.
