I had an HPF oil catch can on my VX GTS and it didn't make a scrap of difference to the oil consumption.

"An oil catch can won't change oil usage".
Its designed to get the oil vapour out of your inlet air.
Oil vapour in the inlet charge can cause lowering of octane rating resulting in pinging.

I have an Elite, just make sure you order the correct bracket as well, as they are not included (well from my experience 2 yrs ago).

This article should answer what set up you'll need for your level of modifications.
LS1 has a PCV valve , LS2 and later dont have a valve as such, the U pipe from valley to intake acts as one by means of baffles under lifter plate.
Basically for modified engines its saying to plug the port in intake manifold and run line to intake pipe before TB which is at a constant low vacuum , whereas the port in intake manifold is high vacuum at idle but under load basically zero vacuum
Diagrams in article show opposite to what we have here, so clean air is drivers side, dirty air passenger side for us.

It definitely made a difference to my car, when I installed mine.
