    My VX Clubby

Here's some phone pics of my recent purchase.
It has 92k on the clock, 1 owner country car and is in great condition.
She's nothing special compared to some of the amazing machines in here but I love it all the same.
I love the look of the VX.

Time for an update. Not much to report except the below issue which I will get to.
Been fighting the urge to modify it. Can't really afford to at the moment anyway so just enjoying it as is and sorting out little issues.
I have seen IATs as high as 70 in this heat so I would like to do something about that. I wanted to avoid an OTR but I don't think any other solutions will work well enough.

Anyways, I investigated a noise in the front end on sharp right turns and found this -

I'm no mechanic but I can do the basic stuff. Even I can see that is a major screw up. The brakes were replaced by the dealer as part of the roadworthy stuff before they put it up for sale.
It was a Holden dealer too!

Very disappointing. I have a severe distrust of dealers. Its not something you are born with, I've developed it over the last 20 years where time again I have been bitten by their dishonesty and incompetence.
I thought this local family business might be different.
They replaced a bunch of stuff prior to putting it up for sale in the yard, openly showed me what work had been done. Front brakes, new steering rack, swaybar links, bushings etc. They even fitted new Pirelli tyres all round rather than some other cheap garbage that dealers usually fit.

But if they can't even replace brake pads properly...
