Fastest Stock Cam 6.2L LSA VF GTS

I'm just going to say it, I have not seen any other stock cam 6.2L LSA VF GTS run these sorts of numbers so I think NickGTS is entitled to own the stock cam title until proven otherwise.

Nick and I went to the track tonight conditions were not as favorable as winter months but he did manage to knock his previous 10.7 down to a 10.6.

Considering the car still has stock non ported heads and stock cam, Nick gets better than stock fuel consumption he drives the car daily 45min both ways to work and has put over 30,000km on the car since fitted with our interchiller and reservoir he is doing damn well. And the car is fitted with a baby seat in full weight and the wife and baby go out in it on the weekends.

    Well done mate.

Looking for colder IAT's? we have achieved 11c IAT2 on a 41c day and -8c during winter.
We have proven cabin AC vent temps are better than GM spec, both IAT2's and vent temps are all on video with nothing to hide.

    Cheers All
Was shame could only get 3 runs in last night (poxy burnout cars)...
So reckon there still more to come experimenting with launch technique.
Was chuffed with 60ft still dreaming of a 1.49!!!!
Still did a 10.7 then did 10.6 so just got to get more consistent

What would be a true test for the Inter-chiller (as I'm currently trying to con the wife its a safety upgrade instead of a performance d based one) is to do a run with Inter-chiller OFF and then ON. This to me would see back to back runs and then see the results.........
    Anybody agree ??

You may not notice much if you run it off first as the intake temps will be cooler. The second run with the chiller on will likely just be consistent with the first unless you did your run as soon as you rocked up at the track and nothing had time to cool down.

What has been proven is that the chiller keeps things consistent when you do consecutive runs within minutes of each other. If you tried the same with no chiller or the chiller off, you'll likely get slower as the runs progress.
I guess you could argue that it makes things safer for the engine as the intake temps are kept constant rather than allowed to rise.
