This is an amazing car and a great piece of history, if I had the money to throw at a car right now I would buy it. I hope it gets near 50k, its good to see the VY/VZ HSV retaining some value

Hmmmmm build plate says VY GTS not VY 2 GTS.......

So did my VY2 R8, apprently this was just a quirk at HSV at the time and a few series 2 build plates got missed. Was 100% confirmed to be a VY2 though.

What are peoples thoughts on the value of this car now seeing how prices have increased of late?

Interesting question! I can’t even remember the last time I saw one come up for sale, so very hard to say... Personally, I really liked the VY GTS, but I’m not sure how popular they are overall...
And while some prices are rising, VF GTS proces are still falling... That’s got to keep a lid on things you’d think?

I'd like to think it's still worth around 35-40k but no idea really. I'd imagine it would be priced high as you don't see them come up for sale anymore but even owning one, I have no idea what they're worth.

I have been offered this GTS for $60k. I have been researching it’s history with HSV and it is a VY GTS built as the pilot vehicle for the VYII GTS’s. It was a HSV drive vehicle and did not come with books. Apparently Greg Murphy drove the car back in the day. The current owner has owned it 12 years and driven it from 45,000km to 63,500km.

12 years... does that mean he didn’t sell it when it came up before?
