Low 10's with an LS9 Cam

Brett AKA Rocksteady took his VF GTS to the track today.

This car is running incredible on pump 98, the car is fitted with an LS9 cam....yes an OEM camshaft so that equals really good fuel consumption and driving manners.
The car is fitted with our FULL package; Forced Induction Interchiller, VE/VF 6.5L reservoir and blower spacer plates all tuned by Steve from Vision Automotive in Sunshine North VIC.

Brett was suffering some traction issues as shown in his 60ft time however it still pulled off an incredible 10.3859sec @138.76mph

Brett wondered if it was a fluke or a fast right hand lane so he backed up the time again in the left lane.

Looking for colder IAT's? we have achieved 11c IAT2 on a 41c day and -8c during winter.
We have proven cabin AC vent temps are better than GM spec, both IAT2's and vent temps are all on video with nothing to hide.

For those of you who drag race you will understand this look at the 1/8th mile MPH and the gain in MPH to the 1/4 mile and you will find the results are:

    1/8: 106.53mph
    1/4: 138.76mph
This is a gain of 32.23mph between the 1/8th and the 1/4.

Go and compare this to a few similar time slips floating around on the internet on similar cars not fitted with an interchiller.
You'll soon see that because of the interchiller the temps in the deep end of the track are being kept down very low so hardly any timing is being removed and the car is not losing HP.

If you compare the above car to this Chevy SS here: http://www.ssforums.com/forum/drag-r...o-new-run.html
You can see he has a way better 60ft time and is making more HP as he gets to the 1/8th at 108.14mph which is 1.61mph faster however he loses MPH and HP in the deep end in comparison as he is trapping 136.48mph which is a gain from the 1/8th to the 1/4 of 28.34mph

This goes to show how the Chevy SS I have linked to does makes more HP power at the 1/8th mile however at the 1/4 mile timing is being pulled, HP is being lost in the deep end due to hotter IAT's and the other car is making more HP/MPH at this point because of the intake temps.
This is exactly where our interchiller comes into play and you don't drop HP and MPH.

i can confirm that last statement, I have been looking at supercharged and cammed timesheets to compare with my ls3 fdfi 2300 cammed maloo... mine generally runs 128mph on pump 98 in a manual and picks up 27-28mph from 1/8 to 1/4. I have seen plenty of lsa gts timesheets that run 10.6 to 10.8 @ 127 to 129 and pick up about 27-28mph, also I have seen a few ls3 heartbeats run 10.7 to 10.9 @ 128-129mph and pick up 27-28mph as well.

proof is in the timesheet ..... nice work
