    VE-VF Reservoirs now available

As some of you maybe aware the standard intercooler system on the VF GTS is very difficult to bleed air out of, the HSV dealership manual states to first vacuum the system of air and then fill it under vacuum.

We have done this pulling as much as 25" of mercury and then letting the vacuum suck all the coolant in and then we still had to bleed the system by cycling the intercooler pump on and off for 45-60min.

The best I have managed is about 40min by removing the intercooler hoses from the charger and hand filling through the pump over and over and jiggling the hose until it takes a majority of the intercooler fluid. Even then though you are left with a funnel in the top port and a case of letting it idle for another 30min to try and get any remaining air out of the system. And then having a mate pull the funnel out whilst you jam the bung plug back in as fast as possible try not to spill much or let any air into the system....it's difficult that's for sure.

    The intercooler pump turns off
As the system is so difficult to bleed air out, some cars from factory have had the intercooler pumps not running and several workshops have claimed the pumps to be bad. The pump is certainly not a bad pump it's actually very good, the only issue is the bleeding and that it is load sensitive if the system is 95-98% full the ECU can and will switch off the pump to protect it from burning out. This is why the system is so sensitive and people find it difficult.

Bleed your system in 3 minutes:
With our reservoir this massive hassle is removed the system can be fully bleed in under 3 minutes, simply install the system as per our instructions, fill it up turn it on let it run and keep topping it up until the reservoir is full, you can literally hear the pump running nice and smooth with no air passing through it within the first few seconds.

Once it's done that's it, plenty of capacity and a system which should never have any problems ever again.

This suits all VE/VF and any type of supercharger/intercooler pump.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our reservoirs are made of lightweight aluminium and TIG welded for a superior fit and finish.
Every supercharged car with or without an interchiller will benefit from increasing the coolant capacity.
Our reservoir is 6.5L in size. When combined with our interchiller will provide lower intake temperatures when at wide open throttle.
The idea behind increasing the coolant capacity especially in a racing situation is such that if your coolant is as an example at 0c (32f) during the whole race you have enough volume to be passing 0c (32f) coolant through your supercharger for the entire duration of the race, this will keep the intake temps as low as possible.
The reservoir is suited to VE-VF Holden, HSV and Vauxhall it mounts very stealthy in the engine bay hidden in the passenger outside air entry box and cannot be seen once installed and the plastic shroud is reinstalled.

We have shaped the reservoir to take the shape of the car to gain as much coolant volume as possible, over a ľ mile drag race we have seen intake temperatures reduced by 10-20c (18-36f) it also greatly reduces cool down time when drag racing as the supercharger isnít able to completely heat up the coolant.
During dyno testing of our interchiller we were able to see that when we switched off our interchiller we were able to complete 6-7 back to back dyno runs before the intercooler fluid levelled out to a normal non interchilled temperature.
During highway testing we noted it took 12-15min with the chiller turned off for intake temperatures to return to normal. As can be seen by these results the intercoolers system is highly improved.

This will also benefit cars that do not have interchillers, more coolant volume will provide lower intake temps for longer periods of time.

It cannot be seen so no point in painting them, it's all hidden under the plastic cover

standard hose that did go from the intercooler pump now goes into the reservoir, it does not need altering.
At the base of the reservoir is the exit 3/4" barb it goes directly into a chassis hole which then routes a hose back into the engine bay and to your intercooler pump.

It's actually very stealthy and very well thought out.
