None of the 3d renderings of the GTSR/W1s or photos in their advertising show colour mismatches as far as I can see. I think we have a right to expect a good match - or is that like expecting a burger at Macca's to look like the picture? A 130k+ burger
Has anyone checked out a stock Holden commie in the show room lately? What are the plastics like on a new model SS. Is the colour matching a HSV problem only or is Holden having problems with it too?
I would think Holden units are painted as a complete assembled vehicle which would give them a better chance of matching , but obviously HSV have to put model specific plastics on cars after the factory has applied its paint. If its not out of the same pot as the car was painted its always going to be a headache to get colour matches perfect.
But you would think they would have had it sorted by now.
Zoom in, your front guard looks a lighter shade in colour to your front bar to me.
Unfortunately this has been happening for as long as panel components have been made with different materials on aussie vehicles. The only vehicle I' ve owned without this problem was a 2010 VW toureg. It had plastic front panels and bumpers and the match against metal was spot on.
Still dont know how VW did it but I wish Holden and HSV would ask them.
