I emailed Mighty Mouse askin for his number so I could talk to him. No reply . So I thought I'd do catch can myself, copied his. Bought a can $80, Upr billet one way check valve breather from the states $110 , pcv valve $29, hoses and clamps $30 and $40 welding
    total $289....
a lot better than $690 Mighty Mouse wanted
Fuel rails should arrive next week so I'm hoping to get tuned next week as well

if anyone is interested in a one way breather for the oil fill position i have a few .

Top quality billet, one way ball valve with filter.

If you have a standard pcv set up or a sealed catch can, the one way breather will vent to atmosphere only when there is to much crankcase pressure. Your pcv system works as normal when under normal driving conditions but when driving your car harder the breather will let excess pressure vent.
You can also put the breather on your catch can.
What makes the mighty mouse cans better than most is the one way breather on top of the can. The breathers i have act in exactly the same way, only difference being the breather i have is billet and better quality.....PM me if interested

So after putting 12k deposit down and waiting 17 months for my engine to be built and having to listen to 13 months of excuses and broken promises by this builder/tuner, then waiting a month for a tune , i finally lost patience and booked to get the senator tuned elsewhere.
Worst experience ever. This engine should have been built in 6 months not 17. Watching 4 people i know getting there engines built and tuned in 4 months while im still not tuned after 18months.....After 4 months i gave him benefit of doubt.... in march and june this yr i went to pick up the parts and go elsewhere but didnt after being promised it'd be done...... the machined block and all the parts ready for assembly before xxmas and still wait 9 months to get assembled.... organising a machine shop in july last yr to do the work in 2 weeks if he was struggling to get done.....leavin the ordering of parts till last minute.....listening to the bullshit like the wrong ring pack came with pistons and waiting 3 weeks after ordering when i could have driven 5 mins from home and pick them up... saying ill supply the parts and being told no, he can get the parts cheaper than i could , then paying 4 k more than i would have..... buying my australian made rockers from U.S supplier dearer than here and paying frieght and import duties on top....... The list goes on
Really disappointed, i was told he was a good operator, he had tuned my car well previously... just dont understand why/how it takes 17month to build when theres 24hrs in machining and balancing, 20hrs to assemble. Yes heads took 4 months but even allowing that having 44hrs work and taking 13 months WTF....
My tally so far with LS workshops is,
1: brand new engine, tuner has timing cover off telling me timing chains wrong, was there just for tune WTF
2: brand new engine, tune only ,ask why oil temps so high, told to drive it alls good, blown head gaskets
3: book in for tune 6 weeks later drop car off, 6 weeks later pick up car and they havnt touched it.
4: backyard tuner does good job, just hard to get onto him
5: book tune to try get a flat spot tuned out, pick up car runs lick a pig, discover injector data used is oem and the likely cause of lastest rebuild
6: picks up 30rwkw from previous tune, very happy... then this latest debacle

In future ill build the engine, im going to try tune also... at least this way i know the person doing it is going to give a fuck

I feel your pain, I bought a car that had been tuned by a big name tuner, the tune in it was rubbish, that's when I started tuning my own stuff. My tunes may not be as polished as the pros but they get the job done and I can make as many changes as I want, will admit its a bit time consuming though.

It's not the half of it Craze, I could keep going and going.
In the end Xjas all the time you put in now will pay off the 1st time you don't have to put your cars fate into a tuners hands.
I'm starting to organise my old wet sleeve 454 rebuild now, it'll be going in my boat so I can use motor plates and I'll also half fill the block to stop the twist, oem internals so parts are in Australia, machine shop said he'd hv back to me in 2 weeks and I'll take my time and assemble it in a week, so I think I'll definitely have it ready for tuning in 1 month after I go green on itI'll have go tuning to.

I just hope he put max effort into the engine when he was assembling it. Just keep thinking I'll go see it getting started and it let's go in a big way. Will prep for 1st start methodically and log everything before turning the key to start.

On a side note it was dark when loading on the truck to take to tuners so it wa 1st time I'd seen in the light for a yr when I went to tuners . It's looking awesome, the tuner said he was thinking bout sending it back for a week coz worried he'd scratch it...

I don't know how workshops operate down your way (pretty crap by the sounds of it) but here in Newcastle all the
"specialist" machine shops & tuners are booked out for weeks & weeks. All down to staff shortage.

My own shop (general mechanical repairs) is booked out usually for 2 - 3 weeks in advance all due to not
    having enough staff...

I WONT employ a dodgy half hearted mechanic because its my name above the door, and the buck stops with me.
Other shops however employ any cowboy who comes along & the lack of quality work ensues...
Maybe that's why your tuner has let you down????

As you know Mick my motor shat itself at Bathurst last November. I still haven't got it back from the machine shop..
I'm not going to complain though because I don't want the motor rushed & not done right... But, the time is coming where I will say enough is enough, and go pick it up & probably try someone in Sydney....

Unfortunately that's the down side to our car obsession

Don't get me started on home builders - you think your tuner is wrecking your life. Prey you never get involved
    with a dodgy builder...........
