Bit of an update: waiting for the rotating ***embly and block to get back from machinist. he is waiting on a tool so he can measure the windows in piston accurately, dont ask me what that means. i think because he does block work in a cnc it has something to do with it.
It should have been back ages ago but piston ordered were wrong so had to get another set.
The bores had a ring groove at TDC which had to be honed out, there was also signs of fuel washing the bores. i wont mention who the tuner was.
The rotating ***embly has been balanced with flywheel, clutch and harmonic balancer attached.
Once the parts are back ,hopefully by wednesday, it will take a few weeks to get together. Builder said it takes him about 20hrs to build the engine, but have to allow a week waiting on the cam ,once its specced.

These new heads should work really well, small port ,high velocity

Just ran out of time to have engine finished before Xmas . I did have to buy another car because I gave my daughter the 2014 VW polo I use as a run about. Grabbed the new VW polo, basically 50mm bigger rite around, smaller 1.0L 3 cyl engine with 12kw more power, 6 speed instead of 5. Cranked out 2500km so far and a great little car, the 6 speed gearbox is a cracker, avg 4.9L/100 so far. It's only about 430wkw down on wht the senator will have , fun anyway

Will you run the exhaust under the aero? Like, exhaust will still be visible or will it be
    enclosed within the aero?

Hi Theo , the exhaust will be enclosed so underside of car will look like my model pic a few posts earlier. Down the track I will modify again. I'll relocate fuel tank to spare wheel well, think it will be about 110L tank , by relocating tank I can then run exhaust differently Which in turn allows me to modify rear bar for a more aggressive/performing rear diffuser.
With tank relocation and full tank of fuel should be very very close to 50/50 front to rear.
All will have to wait until next yr tho due to house build. When I do start the 1st port of call will be carbon fibre fabrication, boot, bonnet, front guards, rear doors, underbody aero, tank n exhaust mods next then paint, interior is partly underway, I have race seats being upholstered now ,leather same colour as original ....hopefully early 2021 finish

Sure will be craze, will drive it weekends and few times a week. Getting off the line it can be hard but 90% the time successfully
Drivers seat getting done is comfy , it's had extra padding put in to suit me, plenty in the arse for longer trips, p***enger seat is larger with padding to suit upholster guy (he taller n heavier than I) both seats very comfortable wrapped in a top quality leather. I hvnt weighed to compare.
    I'd expect 30kg or more
