1987 VL SV CC cars. Build #000?

    G'day all.
I recently tracked down a 1987 VL Turbo manual (factory) car that i had heard was sitting in a guys shed.
Im in negotiations with the owner and need to find out as much information on it as possible in order to make an offer and close the deal.
Im not an expert in VL models and this in fact will be my first, (maybe).
I believe CC is a SV HSV company car as I already own number 045 but what I am not sure about is the build number 000.
I've looked on line and can only find reference to # 1 through to 7.
This is a factory Alpine white , sandalwood trim car with factory Turbo and manual gearbox i believe.
It has a HSV plate on firewall saying:

    Build #: 000
    Model: SV CC
    Date: 27.11.87

    Holden build plate says:
    Model: VL8VK19-125
    Body number: ######-A
    Trim: 651
    Paint: 1j 052-D
    Built: 3- 87
    Eng: LW5
    Trans: MX7
    Axel: GM3
The car has Group A front and rear bars, rear wing, side skirts and Bonet scoop.
Group A dash, Group A wheels, steering wheel, seats in leather etc.
Can any VL guys or HSV nuts help me out on this one before i commit to it.
    Cheers, Damo.

Is there a reference letter and number after #000?
Is the model CC or SV CC?

It could possibly be a CC car but tread carefully in price because they are not sort after cars as they weren't "real" HSV cars.
The only #000 car I ever knew of was the GTSR, that's not to say there weren't others.
I never cared much for the VL turbo so I don't know much about them. It may be worth while trying to contact Corsa on here because he seems to have a wealth of knowledge on most things VL turbo. He owns an HDT VL Corsa and HSV VL F20.

    Sv cc#000

Hi mate, yes it says SV CC
Nothing else for build number other than 000.
Ive been doing a bit of research and nothing about a car numbered 000,
All I can find is apparently 1 snd 2 CC cars and 3- 7 but they are not CC, they are F20 or something.
Should it have other numbers after the build number?
I can prob get this car for around the 8k mark, it unregistered and not running since late 90's, i think it's worth a gamble.
I know you say they are not desirable but there aren't too many VL factory turbo manual cars around that haven't been stuffed
Its also got group A style part leather seats, steering wheel , group A front spoiler etc etc.
What do you think i should do?

Price wise I think if u put it away maybe ok
The extra trim over the others basic ones would be the better option

    That's my 2c worth

    Thanks SV300

Yeah, the plan would be to get it running and do the mechanicals and basic cosmetic resto.
Put it in the shed with the others!

Have you got any pictures handy, that would help a bit with identification. Sounds interesting.

It wouldn't come up. They were generally cars that staff had and converted to "HSV" vehicles. That's why I wouldn't expect them to be worth much, not yet anyway.

No photos, haven't bought it yet, just want to know more about what I'm buying.
Thanks HSVGTS125, I wasn't sure if it should come up as a HSV on the data base, I've got a feeling it could be an early test car for Walkinshaw body as its an early car, far too early for anything else really and its all Group A parts fitted.
Do the numbers seem right to you?
Why would HSV use a March 1987 car so late in the year and why a Turbo?
Do you think it's a genuine HSV? The plates look original and the bloke is about 65 years of age, I just don't know enough about the early HSV's.
