. . .you may get your wish . . . Plenty of chit chat out of the states at the moment suggesting the Z07 Vette "may" have a TT Combo . . it certainly make easy tech sense these days . . . and makes it easier to meet emission targets too . .!?!?!
Could we be greedy and hope for twin turbo/twin-scroll
Looking into my crystal ball . . .
GEN 5 Naturally Asp 340kw . . . This is the output of the C7 Vette in base form as released next monh in the states . . Clubsport, Maloo, Senator . . . the big plus with the N/A GEN 5 is the 610nm torque figure . . . which will significantly increase the on road performance/feel of the Series 2,,
GEN 5 SC 450kw Supercharged in the Camaro ZL1 . . . CTSV Caddy . . . HSV GTS
Surely the LT1 will get more than 340 kw in HSV form. Just from a marketing perspective alone. They couldn't Leave it the same as the R8 sv, torque figures aren't as good a marketing tool.
When the E1 got the LS2 it had 307 kw versus the vettes 297 kw. But I think that was a bit of marketing BS, I watched an E1 make 245 kw on a dyno and a C6 LS2 make 272 kw on the same night, both standard.
Ill be curious to see what my SV wagon makes stock at the wheels.
No GTS-R or some other limited run HSV with this in the crystal ball?
There is no way that GM would allow the Vette's "primo" engine into any other model . . . .ie . . The LS9 was a C6 ZR1 only Powertrain . . . The LSA was the cheaper alternative for the volume selling models . . .
. . . But???? . . . will GM do the LT1 in 2 different Turbo vaients!!! . . . One for the Camaro ZL1 & CTSV & GTS . . . and the primo variant for the Vette . . . it's certainly going to be interesting watching the LT1 development over the next 6 months and I wish I could have got under the bonnets of those 2 GTS prototypes the other day!!!!!!
