I’m interested in the whole concept of the AWD in the coupe but is there a need for it in OZ??? Talking about the coupe not the Avalanche.
No more signing road surfaces that have to suck not that any of us have tried right? Hmmm.
Sure the Germans need AWD once winter hits ice snow and so on, but OZ, when will you use it?
Hate the wheel flares, twin pipes look weak. I can see now a 400kw AWD Coupe at Calder it would kill those 4 pot screamers the ones with the whistles…

I think that AWD adds extra power to cars like the coupe! Its not needed but its dose make handeling the car a breeze!

I must say that HSV and Holden must be on steroids with all the new models and combos coming out in the last few years,, mann good on them.
I wouldn’t mind an Avalanche parked in the driveway. :P
Convertible AWD Coupe black with white leather,,, hmmm just a thought

From my POV, they're more aimed at traction off the line and around corners than weather conditions (although they're an extra advantage). It would make them a lot faster around a track compared to the viscous power oversteer they have now!

I’m hanging to take one for a test drive, with all that power and AWD must be lethal weapon, Fords going to have a hard time now with the AWD coming into production.

From my knowledge, Ford is yet to reveal an AWD driven car OR truck!!!
AWD is not only for all terrain, rear wheel drive cars are good for off-the-line power, but if too much power is given, the car wants to go into a spin. Front wheel drive cars are great for straight-line driving, but off the line, the wheels tend to break loose easier and the car starts to jump sometimes.
with AWD, one wheel is driving the car/truck, but if the tire begins to break loose, other wheels counter-act with some power given to them. basically it is so you dont have to worry about keeping the car straight, because the car will do that by itself.
i think the Coupe4 AWD os a great idea, because the AWD system will be used for racing purposes. it was made specifically for that.
by the way, have you seen the new Avalanche XUV? its half Avalanche and half maloo!!!
