I will spead the word and hopefully we can get this site moving at full pace soon!

A friend of mine came round on the weekend to show off his new Ford FPV GT colour (Orange) . I was given the chance to drive the 290kw thing it was a Tiptronic Auto.
First time I ever driven a Tiptronic car well I wasn’t impressed with the feel of Tiptronic. I didn’t have the real control feeling a manual gives you. For this sort of performance car manual a must...
Anyone driven an Audi or BMW Tiptronic? What was that like?

We are called the speedy response unit here at hsvforums.
We add an Avatar image to your username, which was designed by ronstaa, if anyone else needs Avatar images then just shout.
The Avatar image is the one you see on the left hand side of the page, each time you post under your user account that image we appear automatically.
As for uploading images for your post as most will know you cannot upload images from your computer, but that will change in the coming months.
But you can link images to your post jpsauto. You ask how?
All images on the web have URL's, what you do is next time you see an image you would like to show on your next post,
1.Make sure your cursor is over the image, and then right mouse click.
2.You will see at the bottom of the list properties click on that.
3.See Address: URL
4.Copy the URL address, highlight the URL address and then right mouse click again hit copy.
5.Back to your post area, you will see an Img button next to List=.
Press the Img button then this should appear after that right mouse click and paste the URL address you copied earlier. Again press the Img button have a look another should appear after the copied URL you pasted.
6.Press Preview to see if that all made sense.
7.I know your probably thinking ha???
Confusing sorry I did my best if anyone else can explain better go ahead?

I can see jpsauto's is hocked forums become like a drug after you start to get involved.
SirHSV, my say time...
Last week I was driving up to Knox it was about 10:30 Tuesday morning.
I was driving down one of the side streets in North Dandenong. As we were coming down hill I saw a Booze bus set-up but this time it was a small bus and about 10 cops.
10:30 Tuesday mornings what the hell is happening to our police force, please get over it. Look I don’t want to offend any police officers they do an excellent job. But this booze bus think really ticked me off.
Who the hell is drinking at 10:30 Tuesday I might add morning.
I understand Thursday until Sunday.
The Police force should be more focused on all the drug dealing going on.
The PF is making us mentally crazy, when ever I get into the car I stress now, NOT RELAXED driving down the street I look at my Speedo more then I watch the road. Do 65 in a 60 zone next thing you know you will lose your licence.
Oh well shit happens life goes on.....

Would just like to express what a good idea this forum is!
I'll be posting a few of my clubs activities up here (NSW Mid North Coast). How long will it be before this forum organises a Cruise, I wonder?
Regards,
SirHSV

Welcome to our Forum,
You are welcome to post your club events whenever you like.
About the cruising, well at the moment I’m waiting to build a larger forum membership base first. My thought was to choose a Moderator for every state who wishes to run some cruises from time to time under the hsvforum banner. Give it a few months and we will see how the membership growth goes. I would like to see cruises happen all over Australia being organized by hsvforum.com.au.
We will give it sometime first before organizing cruises.
Stay tuned for more info in the next few months..

well i guess its my turn.
my name is steve, and i live in the United States. a little far off but hey, we're all alowed to dream!!! Right now im looking into some HSV's. i should be coming to AU around my Spring Break in April, but i hope to buy a car before then. if i dont, i am not goin to leave there until i have a GTS300 comin home with me on the plane. i have filled out some enquiries, and all but two people have taken me seriously. :(
i got my interest of these fine cars thru NFS HP2. i never thought that HSV was a real car!!! the moment i found out it was, i fell in love. and i searched every .com.au website till i found some cars i was interested in buying. i was gonna buy a phantom coloured clubsport VT, when the two week time limit ran out on my enquiry. this was during August '03. no1 has taken me seriously till about a week and a half ago.
hopefully i will buy a car and be able to better relate to you guys!!! :?

So your family is not much of a GM fan ha???
What made you like GM Holdens & HSV's
HSVkidUSA
04-01-2004, 11:04 PM
i love the Denali that i drive, i love GM in general. i had a 93 corvette from them and i sold it after 10 years, it never gave me a problem. The Tempo i have is a backup in case something happens and i cant drive the truck
when i played NFS HP2, i saw the GTS Coupe' and thought HSV?? thisw cant be a real car! around july i was looking at the back of the NFS booklet that came with the game, and saw the licencing and trademark info of Holden Special Vehicles. thats when i fell in love. ariund august, i had a GTS clubsport VT picked out and was going to start putting payments on it when my two week limit was up, i never heard from Zupps again.
recently i found a GTO on carsales com au and then i was told that someone bought it a week later. i am lookin into a monaro right now, and my boss wants one too, so he is looking at a GTS (build # 007 of 150) that is down the block from a member of this forum

Hi everyone my name is michael and i have just bought a VT Clubby R8 with the premium brake upgrade and i must say it kicks ass, ive owned a VS SS 5 speed (a piece of shit in comparison)......
anyway im just wondering if anyone can tell me what HSV have done to make it 250 kw
SirHSV
04-08-2004, 01:16 AM
The right Exhaust and I suppose the ECU mods, air intake and throttle body I think. The ECU is tuned right down then each model release the ECU is tweaked a little and the exhaust refined and so on. For example the last models were 250KW now 275KW it was all ECU tweaking.
The 300KW motors have the Callaway heads which are different altogether.
