cost is $40 per car and they will be puting on a bbq for

Unfortunately I have private business tomorrow that I was not able to shift had been organised long time ago so I will not be able to make it this time.

Lets get consensus on this. The more that come , each chipping $5, the more trophies we can organise. You can get a mad trophy, like the one HRD got and I missed out on at All Holden Day for about $30 bucks.

As to the grouping, that will be hard 'coz how can a stock LS1 compete against a stock LS3. UNless we make it that whoever gets closest to, or over what the manual says it should produce.
Your stock LS1 pulls 95% of it's spec and my LS3 only manages 90% of spec then you win, even though my numbers are higher. I think that that would be really fair and keep everyone happy. Sort of the same system that got the HSV Marloo the Eco Challenge up to Darwin...they were just comparing how the car performed against the speced economy.

As for the modified rides, mine's not so these are just my thoughts, ....we have to determine what constitutes a mod. Does a CAI or OTR and a tune mean mod.? bit unfair if he has to go up against a blower and also not fair to the totally stock rides. Do we have Minor and Major mod sections?

Get your thoughts up guys n gals.

One last comment, this trophy idea is only a thought. Not trying to make into some serious must win competition and I hope that if it gets off the ground then whatever the classifications are we don't get people rocking up sooking and crying unfair. Really....at the end of the day you will walk away with your numbers and you can cry and sook or brag about those regardless of a trophy. Enjoy this people and don't loose site of the fun we have all had on the cruises, 'coz I know my numbers are going to be sh!t 'coz I'm gunna be farkin stuck behind HRDHSV again and wont get to put the foot all the way down :lol:

I agree with the unmodified rules however there is an issue for you "E" owners. I might not disclose this onfo because mine is a "Z":D:D:D

As far as the modified rules go, would it be a good idea to base the trophies on the investment value of the modification:?:
Eg. Best KW for $$ outlayed. You modified blokes must all be honest though.....HRD???

Maybe 2 or 3 trophies, one for best mod under $1.5K, the next under $10K, the next unlimited.

Some more ideas anyway. Mine will be in the unmodified so I dont mind which way we judge the modified

Well, we need to start at 4:56 at the terminal because the day shift boys leave at 5pm, which gives us a handover (albeit a small one) so the guys coming on can grab the jets off the guys about to leave etc.
We are usually up at the terminal a bit earlier though as
we all arrive at the Hangars at the South end of the airport about 4:45 and get a van up to the terminal throught the middle of the airport.
Ends up that we do (2x) 5am~ 5Pm day shifts and then (2x) 4:56Pm~4:36 am Night shifts ::sad:, but then we get 4 days off :D

This year it is in Florida at The Breakers Resort.

Hey Pete I took a pic of a new car for you to run, it came into work the other day. CL65 Twin Turbo V12 (by the way this was FFFFFFFFFast). Also your friend in the ML63 came into work at the start of the week for somethings done to his car.

This CL65 has so many options, even night vision. The badge at the front of the car is a sensor for night vision and the mirror has a camera facing out. All the dash is digital and the interior is insane. Love this car but with the $500,000 price tag I don't think I will be buying one in this lifetime LOL

Hahahhahhahaha. I've already done the inside and under the bonnet. Run through the brushless wash on the way home tomorrow night then home to product up and do the rims.
I'd rather not show than roll up filthy. But that's just me.

yeah i was gonna wash mine during lunch break, then realised 2 trips to the horse paddock (tonight and tomorrow morning) will have it grubbied up again. so a vac and interior tonight and wash in morning will have it tidied up just in time :)

there's a few car wash' around the area there anways if you wanna be real sulky :p

And it ain't about being sulky......it's about being proud of your ride and showing respect to the others that stay up all night cleaning or get up early to clean. The whole thing is about getting together is to show off your rides as best as possible. In my opinion if you can't do that 'coz your too busy then rethink the whole idea.....do you really have the time to roll up?
Honestly if I was that busy and tired that I couldn't clean the Whale properly for a cruise, or dyno day as the case may be, I'd bail and spend that time cleaning the ride just on principle.

That seems a little harsh imo.
I agree for the most part about having a clean ride for an event even if it is a dyno day. I always try to have mine spick and span.
But not to "show off". Shouldn't be about showing off. And remember this isn't a show and shine event its a dyno day. I say show up as is Richo I for one wont think any less of you for the sake of a little dirt/road grime. just because you are busy with other commitments doesn't make you any less welcome.

And I agree with what you say. I'm not the boss here. Just saying how I feel and what I would do. Richo can roll up how he wants.....that's his concern. Won't mean I won't talk to the bloke or anything like that.
I just think....emphasis on think, that it looks so much better if all the rides are shiny. And it is about showing off otherwise we wouldn't ever clean our cars. Hell I look at a gleaming ricer or ford and think wow that looks nice, dude must love his car as much as I do mine, respect. I see a filthy car and think sh!t box.....regardless of what it is 'coz if it's like that on the outside it's gunna be like that on the inside and it just goes to show how little the car is gettng looked after......hence a sh!t box.
I do appreciate cars get dirty so I'm mindfull of that, hell I've even posted pics of my ride showing the filth on the car bra after a long out of town trip. But the next day, anyone who saw my ride only saw it shiny clean.
