Well it looks like people are a bit shy to post up in this area so I'll give it a go. Here's my rig. Our ski boat is my other pride and joy.

very nice, we have a boat but its kept in a pen.
I hope to get a speed boat soon. Although a few mates have them and we tend to drink piss on ours.

Not shy, just don't have a boat, jet ski, trailer, horse float, caravan, advertising sign, hot air ballon, glider, race car, dirt bike or even a broken down car to tow. Come to think of it I don't even have a tow bar/ball!:lol:
Seriously though, nice lokin floater you got there (car's looking good too:D). Any chance of posting a shot without the cover and maybe one in the H2O? What's her name?

That thing looks very suitable for knocking back a few beers Audi.

Here's some more pics of our boat. No name on her. It's an Extreme X-Factor. Was built in SA before they went bust. Now built by Synergy Marine in Melbourne.

The engine is put together by PCM Marine but it's based on a 350 Chev. PCM are like Mercruiser/Mercury and Indmar which are companies you may have heard of. It's got plenty of grunt to pull my fat mates out of the water with a boat load of people and 500 litres of ballast.

Noticed the red VY R8 in one pic... maybe if you still have it you could post a pic of the boat behind it so I can convince the wife that mine would look good like that too...hahahaha I wish!

Geez you blokes know how to kick a man when hes down...
I actually meant that I gotta get to work convincing the Minister for war and finance that I need a cool boat like this to tow......
But... then again If I had a boat like this I would probably never make it to any HSV cruise's or even a cruise in that boat as I would need to be working tons of Overtime to afford it! :p

Finally had an opportunity to update my thread with the latest rig. Had the VE for over 6 months now but unfortunately the boat has been garaged all Summer because of the permanent floods on the Murray.

Looks the good mate im very jealous. I think a set of black mags for the boat trailer would finish it off just right.

Great looking combo, I agree with whiteman69 black mags and your boat trailer painted black would be the finishing touches.

Hi Simonk,

Very nice rig mate, just not sure about the roll cage on the boat? ..................... JOKING!

Wrt the black Pentagons, did you get these as is on the car or had them painted? If so, how much $?

Simonk
02-12-2011, 03:05 PM
Thanks guys. I'd love the trailer and wheels to be black but I've got bigger priorities.

E3 4 me, one or the previous owners had the wheels painted. I accidentally scraped one on a brick wall the other day so I got a quote to have it repaired. I think they were called advanced wheels in Moorabbin and they quoted $200 to respray the wheel so I guess $800 is a good indication for you.

I hope your carefull launching and retrieving with that, we used a VT for one year to tow the boat and have now gone with a 4x4. The VT rusted badly, even after cleaning and using fish oil every time, rims were rusted to hubs, hubs rusted to studs, underneath rusted to rear axle and before you ask no we didn't drown it, but just being that close to river or ocean is bad for car.
