I was thinking maybe Rosebud way? it is a nice drive down the penninsula when the weather is spoton, I have been to Arthurs seat (which is nice) and there is a huge carpark near the beach with plenty of parking close to Arthurs seat but havent been as far as Portsea or Sorrento, there looks like alot of sealed car parks at Portsea on the waters edge on London Bridge Rd and also Back Beach Rd from what i can tell from looking at google maps for pics/parking, and im sure there is a few shops (fish n chips) ect, just an idea, anybody been down that far?? I am open to suggestions.

Ok so I have made the time of 10am to meet at Krispy Kremes, Nerre Warren, that should be enough time for people to turn up and for all of us to leave promptly by 10:30, I will leave the weekend/date open incase people are busy on either the 14th or 15th so we can accomodate them where possible.

Its amazing, my normally rotten roster will actually let me attend this one!!:D

what i can do for people is take some motion shots of all the cars if people are keen, then get some shots of the cars parked on the day.

Karstomz, I see your work is brilliant.
Here is what I suggest,
If all pay a $5 (give or take) fee to you, then you can make up a nice set of photos from the day (and your touch added). Send your brilliance (to all that have paid) over email. I feel this will create a bit of extra motivation by all and we will all be thankfull.

I can't wait either Richo, well the pre run has been done and a final destination is sorted, there is a car park (left of map) with enough room for 20+ cars easy and is situated at the end of London Bridge Rd, Portsea, it's close to the shops and beach for those people that have kids aswell as access to toilets, roads are sealed and estimated drive time will be in the vacinity of 4-5hrs so dont forget to fill up!

Yeah just looking at that map and its way off, It is the roundabout of Victor cres and Overland drive just under the C404 marker, If you are coming down the Princess Hwy, then turn left onto Narre Warren North Road, at the first round about turn left into the shopping centre then at the next round about turn right, KK's is up on the right you won't miss it!

I'm sure there will be plenty on there. I have run the map and have melway references etc at all the points so it should be very hard to miss anything. But along the way hopefully no one gets lost or gets left at lights. Don't stress if you do, im sure people will wait. If no one does there is a regroup spot along the way.

Mate I joined this forum 2 months ago and to date no one has replied to my "Introduce Yourself" post so don't feel too bad. And for what it's worth, awesome idea and I"ll kick in $20 if it gets his shutter finger active. Great point but you're right, pity about the response. Suppose people are too busy driving around looking good to take the time to chuck min their two bobs worth. No offence meant to anyone at all, just venting.:lol:

Welcome stewie! lol, not quite sure bout this one guys, I think shane will put up a couple of prices on the map for photos ect so they can be done as a laminated poster or whatever you want done, so im guessing $5 isnt going to cut it for a fully edited enlarged poster as putting it all together will take time for editing and cost more than $5 for materials, but i understand everyone may not want this so we will have to work sumthing out with Shane?? mind you theres nothing stopping us from taking our own pics aswell:)

I now have to work an overtime the night before.....So will be finishing anywhere up to 5am on the day of the cruise :( . I am hoping that we will get out at a reasonable hour though which will mean I will be a bit sleepy but not sleeping for the cruise.

Ok guys Shane has plotted and finished our map which does look the goods as Shane was saying most car clubs do there map in black and white so he decided to go colour, I think we deserve the best (we drive HSV's after all), the only down side is I will have to grab $1 for each map as printing in colour is going to cost me over $20.... I hope everybody will be fine with that??

I have the maps printed and they have come out pretty sick.
If there is another cruise I will do another set of colour maps if this is successful and everyone is happy with them. But I think its something different to the other cruise clubs.
On the next one I will put some of the cars from the cruise on it.
I need to clean my car though, its been a busy week and mine is dirty as LOL

the day was great for it and meeting up with all the other hsv owners.

Great day out - picture perfect weather and the cars were turned-out in tip-top condition.

No mate us Virgin guys arent on strike...ended up in Darwin (obviously) we had a bird go thru a Jet engine up there so I went with someone to fix it. Just got home this arvo, took 11 hours as there wasnt a direct Melbourne flight so we went Via Brissy...Hope the day went well apologies for the now show again!

Macca, go sick and HRDHSV, A credit to you guys for keeping your rigs in tip top condition, they looked fantastic.
We are into HSVs as much as you and it was good to see someone polishing half way through the cruise:cool:
One thing to add to the "to bring list" should have been sunblock for the right arm. Mine is so red it looks like I have been stabbed:mad:
All worth it, much enjoyed, cant wait for the next one.
How was the old bloke in his hyundai??

Great day, great cruise, great rides and even better people. Absolutely had a ball. Special thanks the HRDHSV and Karstomz (and anyone else that may have put time and effort into the day) for making it happen. It's blokes like you that make others enjoy life just that little bit more. Excellent job.

Thanks to HRDHSV and Karstomz and anyone else who organised it. The cruise was excellent and I am looking forward to the next one. Great route and great people. Great to meet the car enthusiasts and proud HSV owners.

Rachelle mate, it's hard to remember everyones names, we'll just have to get together more often:) tell me about the no sunscreen situation, I shouldn't of had them few cans at the final meet spot as the mrs drove home and got stung on both sides :mad::mad:

It's great to see older people enjoy our rides aswell, he was funny as I asked him to park it up and have look.

As for pics try a hosting site like photobucket or imageshack then shrink them on there.

Wish I could have gone instead of plucking little pieces of Kite (ie Bird species) out of a Jet engine....
I did get to run the most powerful engine of the day though :D:D:D 27,000 Newtons of thrust spinning at take off power to check for vibrations :D:D:D.
Gotta love the Jets!~
