Hi Does anybody know if I can have the DVD play on my front screen while the car is in motion??
Can I do it? Or do I need an auto electrician. I have heard that in some sytems a wire is connected to the hand brake???:?: that needs to be disconnected.

Yes you can do it. Its done with a software VIM (vehicle in motion) override. You can get the software upgrade module posted to you and do it yourself, or take it to No Limit (melbourne) 03 96860023

I dont know anywhere in Sydney that does this. The place in Melbourne does post this module out to owners who want to do it themselves, If you clip off the under dash cover between steering wheel and stereo, it just plugs into a port in there. When plugged in it has a light that flashes for a few seconds then its done - very simple software override. If they post it out they ask you to pay extra $100 deposit, which you get back when returned.

Thanks LS050
Very helpful. I contacted No Limit Elect. The cost is $ 300 for anyone else who wants to know. Cheers:)

How's that done, is there a cable that is needed, what sort of plug is under the dash, or in the side of the unit that the Ipod would plug into?

Cheers

Sorry, and if you plug an Ipod into the front, is there a way of having it displayed on the roof screen as well?

What would it coat me to get a DVD player installed into a Maloo? Also, how is the screen quality for playing DVD's??
Cheers

Can anyone tell me how the iPod funtionality is through the screen?
Can it be viewed from the rear screen, how does it plug in?
Is this VIM module needed for it.
Might just be me, but $300 for a plug and play unit sounds a bit heavy. Can it be used more than once if there are a few that are looking at doing it together?
Is there anyone else that does it anywhere, surely Melbourne isn't the only place that has something like this that does it.

Cheers
