Hello,
My HSV salesperson talked me out of purchasing the factory SATNAV unit as two years ago it conflicted with the cruise control. I assume HSV/Holden rectified the issue. I now want to purchase SATNAV , but was quoted $2200 for the factory option. Is there a cheaper alternative that works with the factory radio LCD screen & sound system? Third party or Genuine options- where I can buy & get installed in Sydney? Also, I saw pics of reverse camera on the LCD screen - is this another option we can add to our HSV R8??

There are cheeper systems out there - not sure about Sydney area, but there is a place in Melbourne that told me they would have sat nav for a VE for about $800. It is third party i but will work with factory system.

Thanx LS3050. Any chance you can find out who the guys are in Melbourne & what brand etc they sell. This way I can contact them or search for Sydney distributors of the same product.

If you really want to stay with the OEM look this is a far better option than HSV.

Otherwise Pioneer are about to release a range of really state of the art units.

I have the factory VDO Dayton system....does not bother my cruise control at all. If I had to critisize I would say that it is slow to respond but not too bad. It came with the car when I purchased it.
