ITS ON AGAIN!

the 1st ever HSV only cruise was a success with a good number of cars (see pic below-30 HSVS in a row:D) and good times had by all-SO LETS DO IT AGAIN!

this time we can decide on a route and destination that will have less traffic and more space at the meet spot so we can arrange the cars better for photos and chatting. one idea i had :idea:was to do a few laps round the olympic park and getting some video of our cars passing and merging

I WILL SET A DATE IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS GIVING ALL PLENTY OF NOTICE AND ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME

Count me in. A cruise before X'mas would be ideal before everyone goes away perhaps.
A suggestion for a good run would be the Wiseman's Ferry run: up through the Central Coast and back through Wiseman's Ferry back to Sydney. Roads will have a bit of everything from scenic winding roads to a good short squirt up the freeway(would be good to get out of 2nd gear this time :p). Plenty of good scenery to get some decent shots too. :D

Hey even Berry on the south coast is a great drive. or Kiama with a BBQ at the Blow Hole etc..

id rather not go wollongong, been on way too many cruises there. that wisemans ferry run sounds awesome, all you gotta watch out for is if your HSV is really low, the ferry may be a problem but ive never had trouble with it.

Sounds great! I'll be in. I think Wiseman's Ferry is a pretty good idea.
...though the roads can get a bit bumpy n rough when you get down near the river!

I don't want to hijack the thread, but I've got to put some miles on a new engine in my VC Brock-a-doore before it gets run :Dhard:D at the track.
So next Saturday (15th Nov) a mate and I are going to go for a quick run up to Bathurst and back, and take some pics while we're there.

Anyone want to tag along and make it a mini-run?

If there's any interest, I'll start a new thread, and apologies in advance to digits et al for the blatant hijack ;-)

Ok, so we want to organise the cruise before xmas so lets make a tentative date??
there is only 6 weekends before xmas!
How about Sunday 30th November?
I'm easy on dates, as i don't follow footy and i'm sure that there aren't any motor events that weekend; however i could (and probably am)wrong.
Its not a bad spot to meet at Homebush, fairly easy to get to and out of the way, couple of laps with video/photos is good idea, then on to wisemans ferry.

hi everyone!

im hearing a few votes for the 30th but yes-there are a few other cruises and things going on that weekend.

towards the end of year it will prob get a bit busy for most, myself included but if enough pick a similar date we could have a minicruise...

see how we go over the next few weeks..id rather wait and make an event out of it than just have 5 or so cars.

heres what i had in mind...

meet at hombush around lunch...ive organised for a cameraman who knows what they are doin (unlike myself) to be there.

some prefer to drive, others enjoy the chatting and most want good pics of their cars SO...

i wanna do a good photoshoot so we have heaps to post on the forum-and this time i wanna get some action pics-so i propose a lap or 2 around homebush to warm up and take those pics/vids.

on the last cruise there was far too much traffic-so im suggesting a descent drive out west to springwood lookout where i have cruised to several times....the roads leading up to there are freeways and twistys goin up a mountain...at the top there is a cool lookout and enough space for bout 25 cars...total drive time about 3 hours

IF IT RAINS I WILL CANCEL

i know you guys are keen-so like last time-everyone propose a date and well find a sunday that works for everyone....then ill start a new thread and spread the word!

Just an idea !!

Check out the Tomakin display thread in the HSV/Holden section and make a day of it which includes a cruise and a relaxing day displaying your car.

It's daylight saving, so there is always the beach after or a couple of drinks.

so did it happen? i just recently bought one and would love to go cruising provided chicks are allowed, I bought it to drag race but really love being behind the wheel, mines not that great i have an 89 SV LE but any excuse for a drive and photos bring it on!

hey mate! im out there cruisin almost every weekend...usually between 10-25 cars - all holdens/hsvs. i have organised an hsv only cruise in the past but it seems sydney hsv drivers are very hard to motivate! this one hasnt happened yet:(

HOWEVER

if u wanna join one of the regular cruises ur more than welcome! ...pm me some sort of contact details and ill let u know when the next drive is...
