Help with Head Unit install please! VY

Hi all,


does any one know if the factory double din head unit in the VY's (SV8) have any control with the alarm i have heard that it could be possible to activate the fuel cut off or part of the alarm itself that will not allow my car to start. i have not installed yet but i wish to soon as im sick of the old system :).

The is no connection from the factory stereo to the alarm in the car. You can remove and install any headunit you like. You can get steering wheel control interfaces and dash install kits also to make the job easier. If you had a BA/BF Falcon on the otherhand the car would not start if the stereo was removed.
