Yer Rick Kelly won but what a dissapointing way to win.
As a Holden supported I just don't feel that buzzz! I am afraid I am not into this team dirty tactics to win a race.
Where is the sportsmanship gone?

I agree that it was not the best way to win, but I also believe that both drivers had a full season to earn more points than they finished with.
Nudges will always occur and had Lowndes not received that knock to his front right he probably would have recovered and finished higher than Kelly (After his Drive through).
I also believe that if lowndes was chasing kelly we could have seen a little nudge the other way.
People will debate this incident for years to come, but the bottom line is that Rick finished with more points for the Season, end of story.

Yeah, not the best way to end the championship, but I think Rick does deserve it. He has driven consistantly and finished in high positions all season.
Ricks a great driver and I dont reckon he hit Lowndes intentionaly. I think it was big because it happened to be in the championship deciding race and because of the Skaife/Tander incident in races 1 & 2. All drivers have done it, Ambrose & Lowndes in 2005 had an incident at Pukekohe which pushed Lowndes off and caused him to spin. If Ambrose hadn't of done that Lowndes could have won the championship last year!
But as redjade said, it comes down to the finish and whoever has the most points, wins and thats the end of that.
Congrats RICK KELLY for winning the 2006 V8 Supercar Championship!

IT was a set up from the start. Tander had his Sunday drive, which he was awarded the prestigeous black flag for. which he blamed lack of fuel pressure, (crap)Then the whole race was controlled by Mr Wankinshaw's team who said to Kelly "win it or bin it". WHICH was quoted on the TV.
Lets get to grips with the pathetic result, it was wrong, it was bad sportsmanship. Kelly can have the Trophy, but when you know you don't deserve it, you know its not worth having.
SHAME ON HRT RACING.

Spoilt brat, you obviously mean Rick Kelly. Graig is well liked in the V8 circles, he has worked hard to get where he is today. Wash your mouth out TuffLs6, your all crap.

These Forums are for the discussion of the thread not for insults, be constructive or go and play some where else. I have owned a lot of cars, and I have put most of them on the track, I drive them like they were ment to be driven. When you grow up, come back and I will give you some good advice.
