I have decided to start looking for a GTS or maybe a Senator, I really have my heart set on a VT GTS with the stroker or a 220i Senator or should I be looking at a VTII with the ls1?

Whos got one, whats your opinion? Any known dramas with each.

What are options on these cars? brakes? leather? etc etc.

any info would be great.

depends on what you are after! if you're wanting the badge, go for either of them. if you're wanting performance, go for something a little less demanding on the pocket and use the difference to flog a heap of extra HP under the hood.

i'm certainly a HSV fan and always have been. but can not justify the extra figures on the tag when you can get a nice ss, play with the kit to spruice it up, chuck on some nice 19's or 20's, and put 5-10 grand under the bonnett.

i know what i'd rather be driving

YEp but I would rather own and drive my SS hatchback, in good original condition than own a SL thats had heaps of dollars spent on it, each to their own, I just like things that are in original condition. So in your words I want the badge.

ok, well in that case. THE badge is obviously the GTS. options wise they have greater loads over the senetors. more street cred too

the other advantage the GTS has over senetors is factory horsepower. so if you like original but want to pull attention, definitely go that way.

if you are prepared to do minor mods but not too crazy, i would suggest a nice tidy senetor (5-10k less) but then change intake, throttle body, exhaust, and computer edit. these are pretty much the changes in running gear.

as for most other things they are much the same

hope this helps

Go for the LS1, that is VT Series 2. If you want the GTS, expect to pay a lot more because it has the 300kW engine. If you want added luxury get the Senator.
