Hi All,
Who do you think will win Bathurst this year, or at least get on the podium?
My tips are Skaife/Tander of HRT or Bright/Winterbottom of FPR.
I expect the Kelly/Kelly combo of HSV DT and Lowndes/Whincup to go very well.
Dark Horses would be Richards/Jones, Richards/Dumbrell and of cause Murphy/McConville.
Im looking forward to Bathurst this year!

Hi Murph Fan,
Like you I believe the Tander/Skaife will be hard to beat providing there are no mechanical issues with the car. Why they chose the HDT car over the Toll car I do not know. Similarly the Kelly/Kelly car will be strong but with the same reservations.
Lowdnes may do well but he sometimes gets to eager and pushes to hard to early resulting in mishaps. My dark horse is the Bright/Winterbottom combination as they decent car speed and have shown to be patient and not try to force the pace to early.
Unfortunately I think Murph's car has been lacking in car speed and relability for him to be a real contender.
Skaife/Tander,if the car is reliable

They certainly have the pace. The reliability of the car might let Holden fans down, like at Sandown. Will post the results as they come through...
1st: Lowndes/Whincup
2nd: Kelly/Kelly
3rd: Courtney/Seton
4th: Ingall/Youlden
5th: Richards/Dumbrell
For anyone who didn't see the race...car #2 was out before The Cutting (Turn 2)!! The clutch failed and as Skaife was driving up mountain straight, car #11 smashed into the back as he had no where to go! Several other top contenders went out, including #3, FPR #6, #22, #51..
Lowndes has a championsship lead of 101 pts over Rick Kelly of HSV Dealer team.
What did you guys think of the race?
