Yep, the cars were released on 21st August at 9.00am and by 4.00pm on the same day I had ordered an Ignition Orange R8 manual with leather. It will be one of the first batch of E series built and will be delivered late September.

I'm like an expectant dad at the moment and can't wait to get my hands on it.

You guys will get pictures as soon as it arrives!

Only downside is trade in value on my VYII Clubbie was fairly ordinary ($31k) on a black six speed with 65 000k's in what I consider to be very good condition, with a full service history and an unmarked interior.

But the E series promises to be something special.

Hey Dave, have you picked up your R8 yet? I'd love to see some photos! An Ignition Orange HSV was on the cover of the MOTOR, looked absolutely mean! Just not sure about those tail lights though.
