HRT/HSV DT enduro drivers

Bit of a change to this years endurance drivers for HRT and HSV DT.

Garth Tander (currently 3rd in championship) will partner Mark Skaife at HRT in car #2!

Rick Kelly (currently 2nd in championship) will partner his brother Todd Kelly, driving in the #15 HSV DT car!

Summary...

#22 Jim Richards/Briscoe

#15 R Kelly/T Kelly
#16 Tratt/Tony D’Alberto

They should put Skaife/Tander in car 16 as car 2 has broken down abit this year.

Thats what most fans are concerned about. I reckon Tander is a stronger chance for the championship too, so the HRT car better not fail. I couldn't see Skaife racing outside of HRT anyway, seeing he is or was part owner. But yeah, they should put them in car #16...

Have to admit that I don't like it but if it is under the rules then so be it. I think you will find there will be changes for next season though.

if Garth or Rick has any real vhancce at winning the championship then their best bet is with HRT when was the last time they had a bad run at the mountain apart from JB smahing into skaifeys door that year but if skaife was geniuen about winning the 1000k race again i think he should just stick to older kelly.we want to keep the HRT cars in one piece(Rick&Garth).But i have read that the drivers may go back to their own teams for the 1000k race but its not confermed yet.

Sandown 500 was completed in the weekend for those who didn't know. Ford won...but it was close. HSV DT #15, the Kelly brothers, came second position, by less than 1 second from the winning Ford. 3rd was Lowndes in his Ford.

HRTs Skaife and Tander duo, was looking set to win, they had the quickest car ALL DAY but some mechanical failure occured just after mid way through!! This better not happen at Bathurst!

Results:

1st: Bright/Winterbottom #6 Ford
2nd: Kelly/Kelly #15 Holden
3rd: Lowndes/Whincup #888 Ford
4th: Johnson/Davison #17 Ford
5th: Jones/Bowe #14 Ford
6th: Canto/Holdsworth #34 Holden

Dissapointing day for Holden really. This year will be Fords best chance of winning Bathurst!
