Hey guys thought i should put my new ride up.
Its a manual 95 VS Clubby.
Mods:
Shes got pacmakers into a standard HSV twin system but has the rear resanator removed (sounds sexy).
A aftermarker chip from PowerChip
Camberkit
Heavy dudty tow pack
Future mods:
Some superlow kingsprings for the front and ultralows for the rear. And then a dyno tune. One day i want to have the interior redone ie im wanting some senator/gts seats. Basicly i want the interior to look standard only i want it perfect, no marks stains and the front seats tend to lean inward toward the centar console which ive seen on my mates car aswell so i want that fixed. Eventually im hoping to get the gearbox rebuilt then the engine and then the diff. Other than that im happy with her.
I love these cars how they look from the factory so i dont want to change much im just wanting to have her looking perfect inside and out, low to the ground and sounding hot.
Some pics:
This is how she was when i bought her 3 months ago

Great pics mate, what was the reason for the respray, it looked pretty good originally from the photos. Any pics of the engine bay?
Any more details of the car?

if you look carefully at the first 3 pics you can see that the front bar had plenty of scratchs and the red had slowly faded a little (being 11 years old) so i wanted her looking her best. Not sure what more details you after mate?

Yeah I saw the stone chips on the front.
Would like to see the finsihed product!
I actually like the VR Clubby wheels better, the 5-star ones. I've seen some (of your ones) that are polished, they look good.

Have you changed the factory stereo?

There are some vs clubbys with the old vr clubby rims on them, apprently it was an option to have the put on at the factory when bought new cause they were so popular. The sterio is stock except for a jvc headunit that came with the car. Its pretty old and doesnt play mp3 but atleast it plays cd's :)
Some more specifics for ya.
Its build number is 144 and i still have all the original vehicle owners compendium which i reckon is great cause i love having all the documentation. It has a standard motor, the only mod to that is a aftermarket cruise control, K&N filter and the paceys. The gearbox is the standard T5 but i wouldnt mind either rebuilding it or buying the T56 from a VS GTS. Standard 3.54 LSD diff which is still nice and tight an no noises. Other than that theres not much to tell.

I wouldn't say every red car fades. Mines 10 years old and looks more shinier than when it left the factory. It all depends on the the lifestyle the car has had imho.

true, my first car was a shit 1.6 manual laser, learners car
but the paint on that wasnt too bad, the roof was starting to fade, but i polished it twice n came up alright
but my silver will be easier, as i dont get home from work till after dark during the week, and rarely do i get much of a chance to spend the time cleaning it on weekends (cries )
have you got interior pics? or pics of the center consol at all?

ill have it all back together this sunday so ill take some new pics for ya and ill give her a good vac out and take some interior shots for you too which is all standard. Before i got mine painted the bonnet had some back cracking in it. Im presuming from being in the sun for 10 years and the spoiler wasnt too good either.

finally got some pics up for you guys. These were taken at the Street Commodores Cruze for Charity last weekend. My next mini project is to replace all the outside triming ie black strips inder the side windows, new door handles new windscreen wipers. Now that the paint is brand new alot of the other stuff is looking a bit old so its all gotta go.
There not the best pics and its not a very good camera. I reckon the red looks its best just at sundown when the light is soft. Ill get some at that time soon.

im starting to think about tinkering with the engine. Im not sure which way to take her. One way is to charger and intercool her or the other is to go a head and cam package. The charger would be a basic one as i dont want to open up the engine too much or blow up any of the driveline. The cam i was thinking of was a crane 286 with some headwork and another throttle body and a possible port and polish or the manifold.
Not sure what to do yet.

Just an update on the car, nothing major. Just had brand new starter motor and knock sensor and alternator put in. Had the wiring for both re done as the stupid paceys had burnt through most of it. Got my crane 286 cam on its way with crane valve springs aswell. Its been lowered now on king sl's up front and ssl's at the rear. Having the throttle body bored out to 70ml in the next week or so aswell.
This car is for sale if anyone is interested or knows of anyone. I will continue to modify and service her right up to the point of sale.
