Hi Everyone,

I am looking to buy a completely original (untouched) Walkinshaw with extremely low k's ultimately around the 10,000k's mark. Am willing to pay good money for the right car. Any help would be very much appreciated

Thanks
Brad

2 words, Good Luck!
Its good to see someone wanting an unmolested one, as there the ones that will be worth something one day. I tried to find a low k one owner collectable car when i was looking for my toy, but decided to just buy a new one and store it. (not a walky though)
I do know someone with a walky thats had it since new and it only has 8000k's on it! hehehe (sorry to tease)

Thanks Eraser
Thats exactly the sort of car i am after, probably a very supid question and i already know the answer, but do you think they would consider selling at all??
I owned one for 6 years but just recently sold it a month ago to look for one with really low k's

That one numbered 26, it rings a bell for some reason.

I will see if I can find my bank of information.

number 001 eh? I wonder if that would mean it is worth even more seeing it was the first one built?

With regards to number 26 Walky, I would get some confirmation of ownership in terms of time owned by each owner.

I remember it, (pretty sure) advertised a few years ago. I think it had been stolen etc...

Now I will put in a disclaimer in that I am going on memory, but my memory is normally pretty good.

If anything, I would like to be wrong as these cars a worth the trouble.

It does explain why it's K's don't match the condition. I have heard of one stolen and then tried to be re-registered by the thief after 7/8 years only to be nabbed.

001 [WKY 01] QLD CS

Go to Walkinshaw.net for all the numbers, and some have the owners name.

I was looking through the list of 001-750, and I counted about 6 or 7 "stolen and never recovered", I was quite sadened by seeing how many there were. Seeing rare collector item cars that you appreciate seeing driving on the road, ruined by bloody theivin bstards...

A couple of XU1 GTR Toranas in New Zealand, a few are for sale, but people 'modify' them, lowering them, putting shitty modern wheels on them, screwing monster tacho's on the dashboard..... I'd only buy one if it were origonal, if not, would prefer nothing.

The low klm ones have gone missing lately. I bought mine with 8200 klm just over a year ago but havent seen one that low since.Plenty out there with around 60 000 on the clock but some that i checked out were too rough. The thing is they are nearly twenty years old and even low klm ones will show signs of age unless you are really lucky.Build 001 i think has a few kays on it.Not sh*t loads but not in the 10 to 20 k range either

Thought so.

I sure didn't say that anywhere in the add, or even elude to the fact that things were missing.

Pity about the car.

Well im pissed off today. Today i found out that the car i was talking about has been sold! He said he never sell it. I would have bought it in a heart beat. He sold it for 50k, i told him he was an idiot.

These guys bought it and now there selling it again. http://www.australianmusclecarsales.com.au/muscle_view/96494
