Upgrade Clubby Audio to match R8

Hi Guys/Gals,
I take ownership of my new 'Z' clubby in a few weeks time. One of the few things I want to do is upgrade the 6 speaker audio to at least the same specs as the R8 which is 10 speaker including subwoofers.

1) I guess the my question is where would the extra speakers and subwoofers go? I'm sure 2 speakers would go into the parcel shelf, but where do HSV hide the 2 subwoofers?

2) Is upgrading the sound system as simple as buying the speakers and cables or do I have to buy an amplifier as well?

3) Also, I would like to change the head unit, but I've heard it can't be done? Apparently you can only place a new head unit into the compartment below the stereo?

Hey 12MRC. No problems with changing the stereo in the dash. We have a fitting kit that fits perfectly and allows you to fit any standard stereo in the dash. The subs in the R8 fit into the rear shelf. Dont forget this is a car manufacturer that isnt an audio engineer. I know they try hard but usually miss the mark (Thankgoodness for us) I will take my Clubport to a specialist to upgrade brakes, suspension or performance modificatios. Likewise we do custom performance audio upgrades. Any HSV or Commodore Club members will get specials even on our specials. Call or email me anytime.
