dyno tune will always make it run a little smoother. maybe its running rough because it has a lumpy cam or something in it? whats the note like, does it sound like a carby 8?

it could even be something else. my 5lt was running a bit rough, terrible, and i found out one of the leads had half come off making it run on 7cylinders! something simple like that could be your problem.

the previous owner probably didnt retune the car for N/A, so its likely that its running very lean. a dyno tune will help no end.

I think it's obvious what you need to do...
Put a supercharger back on it!!!

I wouldnt think that removing a supercharger would cause anything bad to happen. Were any other mods or adjustments made to accomodate the supercharger that wernt reversed? eg, chip mod?

When you put a supercharger on, its not bolt up and drive away. The fuel and spark tables need to be re-written. There are a few ways of doing this.

1. Full Custom Dyno Tune
2. Piggy Back style computer
3. Purchase a chip or computer allready done(not the best)

I am saying this because with FI you have to put more fuel in and take timing out. If you were to remove the supercharger without going back to the origional tune or program them the car would be running rich without much timing. It would also be a bit sluggish to drive.

Take it to see a tuner and get him to look at it.
