air intake and sound?

would just getting a cold air intake and a new air filter give a V6 more of a grunt sound? because my mate got a cold air intake on his integra and it sounds sweet compared to my mate with an integra without the cold air intake?

will the cold air/new filter make the car sound better?

Also, does a cold air intake change the cost of the insurance generally?

it will make more of a 'sucking' sound, when i did my 5ltr it made it a bit louder but not sure with a 6. give it a go they are cheap and easy to do

all it will change is the sound of air beingg stucked in as u get with cais if your using an over the radiator intake it will be a little louder but if u do a underbody intake it will work better as u get more cold air an more air in but it will be louder an more noticable

well its not really that cheap cos im not doing the cheap mod of drilling a big ass hole in my airbox.

Im looking at an SS inductions CAI cos theyre just sexy

In the VQ Caprice I turned the airbox upside down and thrown the base part away and left the filter on.
Just image when you open the hood you will see the K&N filter usually its inclosed in the airbox. Somehow I got a very good fit and I didnt need to make any mounting brackets or drilling to secure the box upside down.
By doing this you get one hell of a sucking sound especially when you switch the ignition off, try it sounds very tuff and it doesnt cost you a cent.
Cops cant say anything to that mod becasue all you do is turn the original airbox upside down. :lol:
