Hey guys, this is my first post over here... i am from the United States (just incase you missed that on the subject) i have the new pontiac GTO... also known as the holden manaro. one thing that i would like to know is what model holden is our GTO? i see things all the time like VN, VT... i think the manaro is the VT, but i am not sure.

Second and more importatly. The Main reason i am here at your forum, to find the HSV GTO kit. i love the HSV kits, and i want a real one but don't want to go to CAPA for it. It just seems that they charge alot of money for their stuff. (I hope that they are not a sponcer of this web site) anyway, i figured i would go to the source and see what ideas you guys come up with... and could you give me price estimates if you have any ideas. just make it in AUS i'll convert later...

Thanx... i plan on lookin around the forum, i may become a regular if i like it... if you guys wanna check out what people are saying or help out other GTO people with stuff from AUS.

All Monaros are currently based on the VT Commodore, only with slight upgrades to the engine/chassis.

As for your kits: it all depends on what exactly you want. CAPA is THE biggest supplier of supercharger kits for the current GENIII engine. For the basic supercharger without intercooler, you would be looking at 7-9 thousand AU. + intercooler and stronger internal bits is more like 9-13k. its all about what you want, and how good you want it to be. another option is turbocharging. plenty of places turbo the GENIII, for anything from 8k to 25k aud.
hope ive helped

g'day and welcome to the forums. first, it would be great it you stayed on these forums and voiced your opinions about aussie products as we dont get many from the US here.

as said, the monaro is based on the VT commodore ('97-'01). the GTO that you have is based on our monaro, the CV8. im guessing the kit you are after is the HSV GTO/HSV GTS kit. the only thing i can think of is actually contacting holden or HSV yourself and asking them. they'll be happy to give you any prices your after. visit: www.hsv.com.au and www.holden.com.au for phone numbers and contact details.

just in case your interested, there are pics of Holdens new range, which is due out in september. there are also pics of the new monaro due out about the same time. pics: http://www.hsvforum.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=1370#1370 as you can see by those pics, the aussie monar ois going to take on the pontiac GTO bonnet fins. your probabaly wondering why, well, that is so that holden can cut down on costs of producing separate panels (one for the GTO and one for our monaro) pretty smart of hodlen to do that, although us aussies arent to sure about them.

hope you get on ok about your kit and if you would like to know anything else, please feel free about asking us.

cheers :)
