About a year ago, I enquired about insurance on a Clubsport (was going to be either a VT or VX) with a number of insurers - big, little, boutique - I think I called them all. I was put off by a near $5K tag (I am 35 afterall) and in some cases requiring a tracker system. I didn't buy the car.

I still have the HSV 'itch' and am now looking at a 'Y' series Clubsport. I have been more pleased with the quote I have had from GIO (around $2.5K) but I am interested in any advice that current HSV owners might be able to give me.

Thanks for the link. I imagine that location plays a big part. Here in Sydney I paid 2K through NRMA. Cheapest by $500 smackers. Considering I paid 1.5K on a Supercharged 'S' VX II, I consider the Clubby to be a bargain, and the S/C VX to be overpriced.
