Hi, this is my first post here.

I'm one of the first Monaro owners in the UK. I have a silver (Vauxhall) Monaro CV8 - what a car!

I've always been into big GM coupes. I used to run Opel Commodores and Monzas a while ago. When Vauxhall announced that they would be importing the Monaro, I knew I had to have one.

Here she is:

I have a question about upgrading the stereo system.

I want to replace the standard Blaukpunkt CD/Radio unit with a Kenwood unit. The body of the Blaukpunkt unit is double-din size (as is the Kenwood) but the facia panel on the Blaukpunkt is bigger. Therefore when I fit the Kenwood there will be gaps around the edges.

I need some sort of facia panel adaptor that slots into the Monaro dash and allows fitment of a standard double-din size (or single DIN size) head unit. Does anybody know of a company that sells facia panel adaptors for Monaros? As the car is new to the UK, nobody here has an adaptor.

hi i run a car auidio store in canberra, at present no fitting kit is avail , aerpro is looking at doing one. all we do is use some abs plastis and fit in a pocket, if you want to use your steering wheel controls you will need a swi-x from pacific accessory corporation (that is if your kenwood has a remote) if you have any questions email me at audiobel@austarmetro.com.au cheers scott :D
